Hello! I’m Sawan Chawla, currently pursuing a Master’s in Information Technology at Virginia Tech. I hold a B.S. in Business Information Technology with a specialization in Decision Support Systems and a minor in Data and Decisions, also from Virginia Tech.I am passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex challenges and drive organizational success. During my internships at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Blend 360, and Arora Engineers, I led projects that optimized processes, reduced costs, and enhanced data-driven decision-making.As a tech-savvy innovator, I’ve successfully integrated AI and machine learning into business processes, developed dynamic Power BI dashboards, and automated key reporting systems, achieving significant operational savings. My technical expertise spans SQL, Python, Power BI, and web development, enabling me to quickly adapt to and excel in new technological environments.In addition to my technical pursuits, I served as an executive board member of the Society of Indian Americans at Virginia Tech, where I played a key role in planning and promoting major sports and community events, significantly boosting community engagement. Currently leveraging my passion of Astronomy to play a key role in Dark Sky International, where I am assisting in remaking their website for the PA Chapter.
