ABOUT SAW ROLLAND SAY
I grew up in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, a place where people often play it safe and limit their dreams. For me, it was always about pushing past that. I come from a Christian family that encouraged me to try new things and think beyond the usual path. Taking commerce in high school helped me figure out what I actually enjoy and where I see myself heading. College opened things up even more. I got involved in leadership roles, took part in fests and competitions, and threw myself into the co-curricular side of things. I even took up the role of Music Coordinator—not because I planned to build a career in it, but because it gave me valuable experience in organizing, managing people, and working creatively under pressure. All of this made me realize how much our world is shaped by systems, structures, and the ideas we grow up with. I’ve come to see the corporate world as complex, but important. I know academics matter, but I also believe enjoying what you do and staying true to yourself makes your work better. For me, it’s about doing things with intention—finding that balance between performance, purpose, and creativity.
