Serve as the inaugural Entrepreneur-in-Residence, acting as the primary liaison between MORTAR and its 500+ alumni entrepreneurs across the Greater Cincinnati region. This role is designed to strengthen alumni engagement, expand post-program support, and build a connected, thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.Key Responsibilities & Impact:Lead alumni engagement strategy for a network of 500+ founders, serving as a trusted advisor, connector, and accountability partner.Provide 1:1 mentorship to entrepreneurs across multiple industries, supporting business growth, operational clarity, financial sustainability, and strategic decision-making.Design and deliver alumni-focused programming, including workshops, networking events, site visits, and peer-learning experiences.Conduct on-site visits to alumni businesses (restaurants, offices, retail spaces, events) to deepen relationships, understand operational realities, and identify opportunities for support and collaboration.Serve as a strategic bridge between MORTAR staff, current cohorts, alumni, and community partners to ensure alignment between programming and real-world entrepreneurial needs.Support ecosystem development by activating partnerships, elevating alumni success stories, and fostering meaningful connections across the Cincinnati small-business landscape.Contribute to the development of systems, frameworks, and best practices to formalize and scale the Entrepreneur-in-Residence role for future leaders.Focus Areas:Entrepreneur Mentorship · Alumni Engagement · Program Design · Ecosystem Building · Community Partnerships · Small Business Strategy · Founder Support
