ABOUT SAVITHA RAJKUMAR RAJAGOPAL

I am an inquisitive biochemist with a zeal for sustained growth and delivery to convert valuable scientific knowledge into meaningful claims for consumer. My diverse knowledge obtained over 2 decades in the field of personal care and nutrition ( FMCG Companies like Unilever, Colgate Palmolive skin health group), has formed the basis of the “scientific-manager” in me. I have clearly demonstrated the importance of ‘purpose-led research”, through extensive understanding of novel scientific frontiers for consumer needs. I have the capability to switch role of a scientist and a manager, depending on the need. The “scientist” in me facilitated the process to develop suitable cell and organ-based models systems to study skin /hair health, identify bioactive for consumer benefits. The “clinical biochemist” in me designs and executes smart clinical studies to demonstrate consumer benefits. The “manager” in me leverages these scientific benefits to convince various stake holders and build benefit-led claims for business benefits. I have also mastered the art to handle various extended members of R&D like CROs, factories, and open innovation partners to fast track research at all levels of personal care and nutrition research. To keep up to the ever changing business world, I also explore to identify novel scientific frontiers that are also consumer needs by recognizing trends.
