ABOUT SAVINA CADIENTE CIARAMELLA
Savina began her career at Walt Disney Records in A&R, earning 15 RIAA-certified gold, platinum, and diamond awards for iconic soundtracks including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mulan, and Tarzan. She developed album concepts, and was known as the AFTRA union specialist, supervising recording sessions. She was elevated to Director of A&R Administration overseeing production, budgets and contract administration. After 14 years, she joined the leadership team at the American Federation of Musicians’ National Headquarters, overseeing the EMSD. She rapidly expanded the video game department by establishing a widely supported recording agreement that increased musicians’ wages and benefits tenfold in her first year, while creating a new opportunity for composers to record orchestras locally. After leaving the union, she returned to production as the marketing liaison for George Lucas’s state-of-the-art facility, Skywalker Sound, where she procured work and managed score recording sessions featuring the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra. She later launched and managed a thriving music department at Formosa Interactive.Savina has produced music and BTS videos for first-party platform holders such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, Xbox Game Studios, and Nintendo, as well as major publishers including Riot Games, Epic Games, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, Ubisoft, Tencent Games, Wizards of the Coast, Sega, Netflix Games, and NetEase. She has contributed to game franchises such as Call of Duty, Halo, League of Legends, Assassin’s Creed, Age of Empires, God of War, Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Towerborne, Fortnite, Squid Game, Flight Simulator, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and Honor of Kings. She has collaborated with renowned composers such as Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Volker Bertelmann, Alexandre Desplat, Ramin Djawadi, and Brian Tyler, and has recorded scores with premier orchestras and choirs worldwide.Savina currently serves as Senior Director of Music at Sound Lab, a Keywords Studio; Executive Director of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.); Co-Producer of the G.A.N.G. Awards; Editor-in-Chief of The Audio Source Magazine; and a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists’ video game committee. She is a frequent speaker at GDC, GameSoundCon, USC, NYU, Berklee College of Music, and L.A. Film School. Her career reflects a deep commitment to supporting composers, musicians, publishers, and developers, while advancing the artistry and business of interactive music and sound throughout the global games industry.
