Currently leading the launch of Dorothy House, a new two-placement children’s home for young people aged 7–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. My role is focused on taking the home from setup through to Ofsted registration and inspection readiness. I oversee compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards, support the Responsible Individual on safeguarding and policy development, whilst also managing all operational aspects of the project including budgets, property readiness, health and safety compliance and recruitment of the care team. Working closely with the director team, I am helping to build the home’s culture, systems and long-term strategy, with the clear aim of achieving an Outstanding Ofsted rating once the home is open.
