About Savannah Bradley

I am a Ph.D. student in Human Systems Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU), specializing in human-machine teaming and aviation human factors. My research focuses on improving the effectiveness of multi-drone-human teams in search and rescue operations, addressing challenges in coordination, automation, and decision-making. As a Graduate Research Associate in ASU’s Center for Human, Artificial Intelligence, and Robot Teaming (CHART), I work under Dr. Nancy Cooke to advance our understanding of human-machine teaming in complex, dynamic environments. As a fourth-generation hot air balloon pilot, my passion for aviation led me to an engineering career. I earned my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where I designed biomimetic anti-predator drones in the Autonomous Flight and Aquatic Systems Laboratory (AFASL).Beyond research, I am actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES). I also serve as the Executive Director of Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies (ASK-WiTS), where I am working to expand professional development opportunities and enhance resources for our members.
