About Savannah Eakin
An upbeat hard worker who loves to be around people and strives to create an awesome work environment. Has had office work background for the Emmanuel Discipleship Ministries as well as customer service experience for Hollister Co. Dedicated to those that I work with especially when it comes to keeping my word. I love to talk to people through healthy and friendly communication skills. I am very tech savvy on the computer by being quick to learn while using my communication and time management skills. Last year I worked on Tiffany Smileys senator campaign team. As an intern I took on a lot of responsibility such as answering phone calls, emails, setting up digital marketing campaigns. This internship has taught me time management and responsibility that I have never gotten to experience with other jobs before. This past year I have been serving as the chair for Washington State University’s lobbying team called cougar lobbying. I currently serve as the deputy of legislative affairs for Washington State University’s student government team ASWSU. During this I have been able to become the voice for legislation for WSU student government ASWSU by taking care of lobbying efforts on behalf of ASWSU and increasing civic engagement on campus. Here I was able to lobby for bills at the Washington state Capitol Olympia, Washington. There I was able to speak one-on-one with politicians, senators, legislators, and state representatives about laws and legislation pertaining to Washington state higher education. I work with many other student organizations to promote healthy legal and legislative relationships between WSU recognized student organizations on campus. I am an active listener who exemplifies patience and problem-solving skills when working with any team or employer in a work space. I plan on graduating Washington State University with a [optical science degree in a pre law track with a minor in criminal justice spring 2024.
