KALINGA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES is a constituent of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, 1750 bedded Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital. I have been heading BME at the Super Specialty and Oncology block, being a key member of the Project and Operations team. Involved in the set up and commissioning of high end Medical Equipment installation in the areas Radiotherapy, Nuclear and Molecular Imaging, BMT, Interventional & Diagnostic Radiology, Modular & Transplant OT, Specialized ICUs along with MGPS and Reverse Osmosis Plant few to name. Addition to this I have been leading the BME installation team of the entire KIMS Hospital for new installation and supporting several special renovation projects.\\\\n\\\\n1. Medical Equipment Planning including REL, room data sheets, medical equipment load, SLD, detailed room equipment layouts, specifications, pre-installation requirements.\\\\n2. Coordination with Architect and other Engineering disciplines during medical equipment planning.\\\\n3. Coordination with the health planners / architects for identifying correct room sizes and relationships with respect to medical equipment, safety, codes, staff and patient flows.\\\\n4. Understands project scope, plan, schedule services during the contract process, translates planning concepts into project deliverables along with the vendors.\\\\n5. Understands the design development, modification and/or review of medical equipment planning concepts and solutions.\\\\n6. Develops Medical Equipment Loaded drawings to communicate Equipment Layouts, work flows, MEP and structural requirements for project documentation and construction.\\\\n7. Prepares and modifies medical equipment planning documents, Equipment Schedules, Specs, BoQ, etc.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
