ABOUT SAURAV M.
After over two decades of leadership and operational experience in the Indian Navy, I am transitioning into the civilian sector, seeking opportunities in Ports, Shipping, Supply Chain Management, Operations, and Maritime Sustainability, where I can apply my operational expertise, research background, and sector-specific academic training to support forward-looking organisations in the maritime and logistics sectors. I have spent 23 years leading missions, managing logistics, and coordinating aviation and maritime operations in high-stakes environments. As a Naval Aircrew (Observer) operational on the Indian Navy’s Anti-Submarine Warfare helicopter, Kamov, I have served onboard frontline shipborne flights, held appointments as Operations Officer at major Naval Air Stations, and had the honour of being part of the commissioning crew of INS Vikramaditya — the Indian Navy’s largest aircraft carrier. I currently serve as a Research Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), India\'s leading maritime think-tank, working on strategic maritime issues such as clean shipping, port development, energy transition, and supply chain resilience, bridging my operational experience with policy and commercial insight. I bring with me a unique combination of- Naval operational expertise – aviation, sea duty, joint ops, and logistics- Academic depth o M.Sc in Underwater Sciences (CUSAT). o PG Diploma in International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi o Advance Diploma in Shipping & Logistics from Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping (NMIS), Mumbai o Pursuing PG Diploma in Maritime Energy Management from World Maritime University,(WMU), Malmo, Sweden (Sep 2024 – Jul 2025)
