The Honorable Saurabh Sharma serves as a Special Assistant to the President for Personnel in President Donald J. Trump’s Office of Presidential Personnel where he selects political appointees to serve at the Department of Justice, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Office of Science and Technology Policy.Before joining the Trump administration in January, 2025, Sharma was Co-Founder and President of American Moment, Washington D.C.’s premier organization that identifies, educates, and credentials young Americans who will implement public policy that supports strong families, a sovereign nation, and prosperity for all. As part of his work at American Moment he co-hosted Moment of Truth, American Moment’s podcast where he interviewed leading businessmen, elected officials, public-policy leaders, intellectuals, journalists, and academics on the crises facing American culture, commerce, and government.He served as Executive Director of the fourth National Conservatism Conference in 2024, and was previously the youngest ever Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas. He has been awarded fellowships from the Conservative Partnership Institute, the Claremont Institute, Hillsdale College, the National Journalism Center, and the Global Liberty Institute.His commentary has appeared in Newsweek, the American Mind, American Greatness, The American Conservative, Blaze Media, The Daily Caller, UnHerd, The Spectator US, National Review Online, and The American Spectator.In his free time, you can find him writing with fountain pens, cooking, brewing tea, mixing drinks, folding paper, and trying to fly back to Texas.
