About Saurabh Shekhar
I am an infrastructure specialist with particular interest in emerging technologies. I have a record of not only designing, developing, implementing fault-tolerant, highly available, scalable and automated solutions but also standardizing cloud migration strategies. I am passionate about implementing solutions in Cloud providers like AWS and orchestrating cloud infrastructure which is resilient through auto-healing capabilities.My career in IT has evolved from developing and maintaining OSS/BSS application for Telecom industry to Consultant for Cloud Infrastructure. I had been involved in assessing various cloud enabling technologies and tools like Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, Dynatrace, etc. I have also been actively involved in developing and operating Cloud platform for the enterprise. The platform customizes public cloud (AWS) by not only leveraging services like VPC, DirectConnect, Subnets, Cloudformation, EC2, etc. but also hardening the platform to enable security by leveraging tools like - Sophos & Squid for outbound proxy; Trend Micro for AntiMalware Detection; CPM for backups; Qualys for compliance scans; Atlassian Suites - Bamboo, Crowd, Bitbucket, etc. I have also been actively involved in ensuring security compliance and reporting of any un-addressed threat vectors in the platform. I have also performed assessment to migrate legacy application from OnPremise Data Center to Cloud. The assessment involves deriving methodology and migration strategies for enterprise applications. I am also passionate about emerging technologies like Docker, Terrafarm, etc. with particular interest in orchestrating rollover of native implementations to cloud.
