ABOUT SAURABH MAJUMDAR

Working as a transfer pricing consultant with the global transfer pricing practice of Deloitte India. Being a keen student of transfer pricing and international taxation, acquainted with the model transfer pricing frameworks as propagated by OECD and United Nations. Further possesses basic knowledge of the transfer pricing regulations prevailing in USA, Japan, China, Australia and several European Countries. Updated with the development of the Indian transfer pricing regulations and well versed with all the recent legislative amendments and judicial decisions rendered in the context of the transfer pricing matters. Also well versed with the assessment and appeal procedures as entailed in Indian Income Tax legislation. Involved in providing assistance to the clients in the transfer pricing dispute resolution which includes representation before the transfer pricing officers and the assessing officers, preparation of detailed written submissions for filling before income tax authorities and appellate authorities, preparation of appeal documents for filling with CIT(A) and Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, preparation of objections and detailed submissions for filling with dispute resolution panel. Also involved in briefing counsels in their preparation for hearings before Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. Further, involved in preparing APA applications and detailed submissions for filling before APA authorities. Involved in providing assistance to the clients in preparation of transfer pricing documentation and advising clients in adopting pricing models consistent with the Indian transfer pricing regulations and aimed at mitigating their transfer pricing risks. Apart from the work responsibilities I am deeply rooted in academics and pursue excellence in international taxation and transfer pricing. I have inculcated reading in my daily routine and regularly read articles and texts as written by eminent tax professionals and scholars.
