My work generally involves vision-language and grounded language generation with a focus on how to evolve machine intelligence towards human-machine partnership driving positive goals. This includes leading a team that research on helping computers to communicate based on what they can process- like extracting data from digital documents, having conversation through Natural Language Generation, as well as projects to create assistive technology from state of art in AI. My work combines computer vision, natural language processing, time series, many statistical methods, and insights from cognitive science. In a nutshell, I\'ve worked on: deep learning, structured learning, shallow learning, natural language generation, conversation, image captioning, visual question answering, and storytelling (Grounded Language), digital human, Document Intelligence, Conversational AI. I have also worked on Information Management - Enterprise Data Warehouse design, IBM & Teradata Industry Logical Data Models, Dimensional and Data Vault Modeling, Enterprise Data Modeling and defining data strategy and Data Governance Roadmap for Enterprises Driving Master Data, Metadata, Data Quality and Data Integration strategy and roadmap for Enterprises Research interests in Data Engineering - Distributed Computing - Spark, NoSQL Database Extensive experience innovating and providing strategic vision for large transformational programs Adapt at building relationships and influencing designs that impact bottom line ROI Helping Dell CFO Org transform their Finance Operations and drive operational efficiency, modernize back office, simplify and standardize systems and business process through machine intelligence. Develop partnership with senior executives (SVPs for various operations and technology organization) to define and execute high value business problems to drive productivity and transform the business. People Leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation and drive partnerships with Research and Engineering groups Publications: Workshop Paper - 2 workshop papers accepted NeurIPS 2022, ICML 2023 Patents - 20+ patents (some approved & some submitted at US Patent office for approval) I have founded the Applied AI & Engineering team at Customer & Financial Services group at Dell Technologies in 2020. Driven Overall impact of $100M through my CoE. In the past I have co-founded multiple data science teams. I continue to balance my time between my Leadership role in AI at Dell Technologies and my interests in core AI Research.
