ABOUT SAURABH GUPTA
Co-founder Director and Managing Business Partner at Gaurav Gupta. After completing my business degree, I went on to handle my family’s iron and steel company for three years. Post a thorough research of the markets in India—I realised the scope of couture in the country and gave my brother the confidence to start our magnum opus label. We launched the brand Gaurav Gupta in 2004, the main challenge was to penetrate a market that was deeply rooted in ethnicity with designs that were years ahead of their time. Our designs were not only well received but it pinned us on the global couture map effortlessly. Today the brand Gaurav Gupta is known for its breakthrough design philosophy, changing the definition of couture at every step of the way globally. Through my journey I took up a challenging role of structuring a creative business whilst still being extremely involved in the creative growth of the company. Today the label has expanded by opening four stores across the country whilst also holding a sustainable undertone with every step we take. Excited as the brand is all set to foray in the Metaverse and evolve the way we consume fashion today.
