The Deputy Engineer (Signalling & PSD) is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of signalling systems and Platform Screen Doors in the metro railway network. The role involves project execution, testing & commissioning, preventive & corrective maintenance, contractor supervision, and compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities-Assist in the planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Signalling & PSD systems in line with approved designs and safety requirements-Ensure system integration between Signalling, Train Control, and PSD for smooth operation-Monitor contractor/vendor performance and coordinate with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for technical support-Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, fault diagnosis, and rectification-Prepare and maintain technical documents, inspection checklists, and compliance reports-Support in resolving operations & maintenance issues raised by the O&M team-Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality protocols, and regulatory guidelines-Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Civil, Electrical, Rolling Stock, and Operations for interface activities-Provide technical inputs for design modifications, upgrades, and system improvements-Ensure readiness of systems for safety certification, audits, and inspections.
