About Saurabh Arora
I am a GIS Specialist with exhaustive technical knowledge in different geospatial verticals with equal competency in project, team and client management. He has a abundant knowledge of geospatial data concepts, latest technologies in geospatial arena with a bend towards geospatial solutions and application development. In his career spanning more than 12 years he has been instrumental in variety of geospatial data projects. The different industries for which he has technically managed and worked on data projects along with providing support in the application development and knowledge transfer for data are utility, navigation, survey, mining, cartography, national geographic society, historical landuse. A committed technical manager, he has proved to be instrumental in managing and executing many state of art geospatial data. He is always open to ideas and a never die attitude for successfully executing the assigned tasks to the satisfaction of the client. As we all know today GIS is a mapping and spatial database technology used in a broad career and research fields outside the traditional boundaries of GIS. Using geospatial knowledge and technologies he has worked on multiple projects in the field of cartography, navigation, utility (Electricity, Telecom, Gas, and Sewer). He has a hands-on experience in working on different GIS software’s ArcGIS, Map Info, AutoCAD. In his capacity he has also re-engineered many of the functionalities of software’s like ArcFM on to AutoCAD. Saurabh is a highly motivated GIS Specialist with high level of technical expertise and experience, in capacity of a techno-manager.
