Plan and execute sales and marketing activities directed toward motorcoach group travel market. Represent the destination, the CVB and the Bureau’s partners at major industry trade shows and marketplaces, regional activities and other Bureau/tourism related activities. Assist with Leisure Tourism initiatives including but not limited to Hometown Tourist Month, Satellite VIC program, Takin It to the Streets Bus Blitz, etc. Maintain knowledge of CVB partner properties and services through on-site visits and ongoing communication; works with partners to develop tour itineraries and packages for motorcoach promotions. Communicate with and develop programs to educate partners on issues, topics and new trends relating to the motorcoach market.Plan and coordinate content for quarterly motorcoach customer enewsletter with Director of Tourism Development.Follow up on leads received from industry marketplaces, trade shows, sales missions and other sources by sending/delivering requested information and assisting with special requests. Maintain contact with motorcoach operators, tour planners and group leaders through direct mail/email, telephone, or personal sales calls to promote the region, develop awareness and persuade them to promote and sell the area as a motorcoach destinationDevelop and coordinate motorcoach oriented familiarization tours and sales missions, etc. Organize a bimonthly Motorcoach Council Meeting. Ensuring that the group instills a sense of collective energy within tourism community, is proactive, effective and is playing a role in developing tourism sales for the area.Investigate and resolve customer problems with delivery of desired service or product, referrals, partner responses, etc. Participate and contribute to goals and projects set by Tourism Development Department as a member of the sales team.
