About Saumya Rastogi
I became a Supply Chain technologist almost by accident, and have never looked back. Fifteen years ago I joined Tata Steel as a Management Trainee and found myself knee-deep in SAP configurations, procurement workflows, and inventory systems. Something clicked. I discovered I loved the complexity of supply chains and the challenge of making technology solve real operational problems. That curiosity became a career. From Tata Steel I moved to Accenture, where I worked across industries and geographies, delivered the world\'s first fast-track O9 supply chain planning implementation in 5 months, and led Oracle SCM Cloud architecture across 130 countries. From Accenture I moved to Unilever, where I now own supply chain technology across Plan-Source-Make-Deliver for a truly global operation. The thread running through all of it is the same: closing the gap between what technology promises and what supply chains actually need. Right now that gap is being reshaped by AI. Demand sensing, intelligent forecasting, autonomous procurement, smart warehousing. I am actively investing in this space and genuinely excited about where it is headed.
