ABOUT SAUMYA BISARIA

I am a Consultant at IDB Invest, where Iam working on developing a new fund management platform for Latin America and the Caribbean. This initiative focuses on mobilizing private capital to meet long-term financing needs and connecting global investors with high-impact opportunities in the region.With over a decade of experience at the intersection of finance, strategy, and policy, I began my career in investment banking in India. I played a key role in establishing India’s National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), a collaborative public-private investment platform that has become the country’s leading infrastructure and private equity asset manager. I worked closely with the Government of India to design and launch the fund and later helped shape critical pillars within NIIF’s startup team. My work spanned investment strategy, policy advisory, and fundraising, and I eventually led strategic initiatives from the CEO’s Office.I hold a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University, a bachelor’s degree in finance, and am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
