About Saul Tilmann

Saul is specifically focused on information reporting and withholding with non-financial clients, including IRC Sections 1441–1442 and FATCA. Saul has worked with numerous multinational companies to minimize Chapter 3 exposure by assisting with the IRS audit of Forms 1042 and 1042-S and by remediation of past filings and voluntary disclosures. Saul and his team draft and review hundreds of Forms 1042-S annually and works with numerous organizations to implement compliant foreign reporting and withholding policies and procedures for accounts payable departments, as well as tax and treasury. As part of the new FATCA reporting and withholding regime, Saul not only has worked with traditional financial institutions but also has become intimately involved with the application of the new expansive regime’s impact in the multinational company space. He has managed numerous non-financial FATCA projects, completing risk assessments and preliminary solution sets under the proposed regulations and current guidance. His experience is not only technical in this area, but he also has a practical sense of how many non-financial organizations are working to implement their compliance. He has presented at numerous speaking engagements on the topic, including National TEIs, Tax Clubs, CPE events, and Domestic Tax Conferences. Hhe has co-authored, FATCA’s Impact Beyond the Financial Services Sector: What Other Multinational Companies Need to Know About FATCA, an article on this specific issue.
