I’m working as a Data Analysis Intern at Open the Books, where I support government transparency efforts by working with large, real-world public spending datasets.My work involves exploring, cleaning, and reconciling complex and sometimes incomplete data, identifying patterns and meaningful comparisons, and creating clear visualizations that help make spending data easier to understand for non-technical audiences. I collaborate closely with both data and oversight teams to help determine which datasets best support investigative and research-driven questions.This role is hosted through the Koch Internship Program, supported by Stand Together, which complements my day-to-day work with structured professional development focused on understanding how data, institutions, and public impact intersect.
