As part of the ESMAP unit, I work on design and implementation of innovative solutions for energy transition and decarbonisation using renewable energy technologies across SAR, and Sub-Saharan and East Africa units of the World Bank group. Some of the interesting projects I have worked on are: 1. Solar + BESS project in the state of Chattisgarh. This is the largest Solar + BESS hybrid project being bid out in India. Diesel replacement/ Supplementing using rooftop and ground-mounted solar in Maldives, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo and Chad.3. Rooftop solarisation for C&I consumers in Bangladesh. Large Solar + BESS- Central African Republic, Namibia, Botswana, Zanzibar, Uzbekistan.5. Energy sector recovery and reorganisation in Somalia.6. Structuring of community-owned Solar pumping schemes as part of the agriculture competitiveness Improvement project in Rajasthan. Solar Park schemes in Bangladesh. Solar rooftop program as part of the Covid- 19 resilience program - Sri Lanka.9. Feasibility study for cold weather/ extreme weather solar projects in Himachal Pradesh.
