Highlight any significant constraints arising from the site such as fire service access, boundary conditions, water supplies and crowd dispersal, etc.• Identify where a fire engineered (non-standard) approach could add value by reducing build costs, shortening the construction programme or enhancing the design (e.g. increasing net area, flexibility and functionality).• Support the development with regards to- Structural design: the degree of fire resistance needed for all load-bearing elements of the structure- Architectural design: identify where walls, partitions and facades are required to be fire rated, advise on travel distances, layouts, staircase numbers & widths- Service design: firefighting provisions (i.e. dry risers, fire-fighting lifts, hydrants),smoke ventilation, automatic fire suppression systems, fire detection and alarm system. • Attend design meetings and meetings with approval authorities• Write fire statements to support planning applications
