ABOUT SATIA RAS
Communications, youth engagement and forestry professional with experience supporting global forestry and restoration initiatives. At FAO, I work with the Forest and Landscape Restoration Mechanism and Silva Mediterranea Secretariat, managing outreach, developing strategic content, and coordinating a global Community of Practice focused on forest restoration. As Coordinator of the Mediterranean Youth Task Force, I lead regional youth initiatives, build partnerships, and advocate for stronger youth involvement in environmental governance. My passion lies in using communication as a tool for impact—connecting people, communities, and ideas to drive sustainable change. I’m looking to grow as a communications and capacity building strategist, community development specialist, and youth program lead, particularly within international organizations, nonprofit sectors, and SDG-driven initiatives at the intersection of people and nature.
