About Sathya Gnanakumar
BS/MS CS Student at the University of Maryland, with interests in backend development, data science, and machine learning. Has experience working with full-stack web applications and seeks to gain more experience in various computer science fields. Currently seeking new grad machine learning and software engineering roles for Summer 2026. I have worked as a SWE Intern at LinkedIn, Fidelity Investments, and Insight Interfaces. This summer I will be working on ML Infra projects at Capital One. Have experience working with large codebases and delivering production code for infrastructure-related tasks. I also served as a teaching assistant for the introduction CS classes at UMD and love helping students learn complex topics. I want to use CS to give back to the community whether it is through product development or personal service. Working with the club Hack4Impact has provided a glimpse of what potential impact I could have on the community and I hope to continue developing my technology skills as I grow as a software engineer.
