About Sathish Narayanan

Growing up in a family deeply rooted in art, education, and entrepreneurship, creativity and discipline were instilled in me from a young age. My creative journey began at 10 with a passion for drawing and painting, earning multiple awards throughout my school years. This early foundation led me to pursue an MFA in Industrial Design in Chennai — a pivotal step that shaped my path forward.With over 32 years of experience across the Creative Art & Media & Entertainment industry, I\'ve worked in diverse domains including Advertising, Textile Design, Animation, VFX, VR/AR, and Creative Education. My core expertise lies in ideation, conceptualization, content strategy, Content creation, branding, and film production. I’ve had the privilege of serving in senior leadership roles with reputed organizations such as Penta Media Graphics, Animasia Singapore, MAAC, Reliance Big Animation, and the JAIN University. In 2015, I transitioned into entrepreneurship by founding Design Media and Edutainment Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a platform where I could merge storytelling with innovation and transforming creative education. Since then, I’ve led creative teams, built impactful brands, and design course curriculum, developed innovative content for various universities. We delivered award-winning content and experiences.My work has been honored with prestigious accolades including the Grand Jury Award at the New York Film Festival, FICCI BAF Awards, and a Citation from the Ministry of Skills and Entrepreneurship. Representing India as a Coach at the World Skills Olympics since 2012, I’ve mentored young talents who have won a Bronze Medal and a Medallion of Excellence on the global stage.The creative journey never really ends — and I’m passionate about mentoring, innovating, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through design and storytelling.

   The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) is India’s lighthouse for AVGC-XR (Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality), established with the support of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India; the Government of Maharashtra; FICCI; and CII. This is the first of its kind IIT for the AVGC-XR Industry.As the national nodal organisation for AVGC-XR, IICT brings together academia, industry, technology and policy to nurture talent, drive innovation, and strengthen India\'s global competitiveness in creative technologies.
