Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.• To improve logistics profitability and reliability in Valmet and support business growth by developing a cost-competitive, high-quality, and innovative supplier base and service offering and by driving improvement in logistics solutions, digitalization, and automation.(Air/Ocean/Road/Rail/Courier/Packaging). To manage the entire domestic and foreign transport process for the customer. • Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market• Identify Carrier and Setting Service (transits, routing, cut offs, destination milestones etc.) and Pricing Parameters for respective trade lane. Freight Negotiations - Obtain competitive rates by negotiating and contracting with shipping lines, freight forwarders. • Responsible for Transport feasibility, transport budget, transport plan, transport RFQ, contracting for projects worldwide, with high impact in terms of financial figures. Full ownership of the deliveries of oversize, heavy-lift equipment, and coordination of the deliveries of the general cargoes to Sites. Assess Road surveys, storage areas, port capacities, technical solution as well as lashing and lifting plan.
