ABOUT SATHEES KUNJUTHAMBY

I hold a Ph.D. in Strategy and Applied Management from Coventry University (UK) and have been a full-time lecturer since 2013. I’m currently a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Business Management at Greenwich Business School, within the School of Business, Operations and Strategy (BOS), with 12 years of experience in teaching, leadership, and transnational education (TNE). Over the years, I have led 16 modules and co-taught 22 across Levels 4–7, with a strong focus on student engagement and satisfaction. I’m a four-time teaching award winner, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA)(since 2021) and I have successfully maintained CMBE (Certified Management Business Educator) accreditation on six occasions between 2019 and 2025.Internationalisation is at the heart of my academic practice. With more than eight years of experience as a Link Tutor for Transnational Education, I remain actively involved in supporting and guiding TNEs through ongoing link tutor duties I now hold the role of International Partnerships Link Tutor and oversee global partnerships in Singapore, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Greece and Zambia. I also lead on International & Student Mobility within my school. I’ve led 18 COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning)/ VE (Virtual Exchange) projects and taught internationally, including at Toulouse Education in France (holding triple accreditation AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS), Universidad de Burgos (Spain), and as Flying Faculty Lecturer in Hong Kong (5+ years). Moreover, I\'ve designed and led 10 international and 2 virtual field trips across Asia, Europe, and North America and 2 summer schools in Italy and 2 winter schools at Greenwich. I’ve held several leadership roles including Associate Link Tutor (Hong Kong and Singapore), Director of International Partnerships (UEA and Egypt), Course Director (Programme Leader), Associate Course Director (Deputy Programme Leader), International Partner Course Director (Malaysia and France), and School COIL Lead. I also serve as External Examiner for the University of East Anglia and De Montfort University In UK and TARUTM in Malaysia.My research focuses on strategic alliances, alliance risk, and internationalisation in higher education.
