Saswat works as a Senior Manager in Business Transformation Group in Tata Steel Meramandali Division responsible for driving value added improvement initiatives in the 5 MTPA Steel Making unit thereby helping the organization in achieving operational excellence. He has worked as Manager in Operations in 7 MTPA Pellet Plant Department, the single largest manufacturing unit, of Tata Steel Jamshedpur Division leading a team of 30+ employees where he focused on achieving organizational targets, driving continuous process improvement, and developing sustainable systems for business operations. He has graduated from NIT Rourkela with a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.He has diverse experience in Business Planning, Corporate Strategy, Capital Expenditure Projects, Lean Manufacturing Operations, TQM and Supply Chain Risk Assessment and Mitigation. He has led many data driven digital projects that have enabled Tata Steel to achieve benchmark in quality control and sustainability. As the TQM coordinator of his department, he has ardently focused on instilling TQM philosophies and has nurtured many Small Group Activity Groups that have gone to represent Tata Steel in National and International Quality Control Competitions.
