Seeker of new experiences and self proclaimed amateur cultural anthropologist. Call of Duty semifinals, a panel of astronauts, a class on carceral capitalism, Twitchcon, a renaissance fair. I firmly believe that in order to understand community and passion, we have to spend time in those spaces. Living by the ethos that whatever the subject, anything and everything is research because “in the particular lies the universal” (James Joyce).What else? I’m from Oakland but have spent the last eleven years on the east coast which officially makes me bicoastal (I think). This probably explains why I love In N’ Out, making cocktails (chicken soup martinis are amazing actually), am a member of multiple science museums, own eight puffers, and can’t drive.
