ABOUT SASI KIRAN PALATEERDHAM
Thank you for visiting my profile. Introduction I’m Sasi Kiran Palateerdham, a researcher at the School of Aerospace Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome, where I also earned my PhD in Energy Engineering. I’m proud to be the first in my family to cross oceans in pursuit of higher education. My thirst for knowledge, passion for skill development, and deep interest in science and technology inspired me to pursue an interdisciplinary research career.🧑 Research InterestsMy main focus is in aerospace propulsion and combustion For my PhD, I investigated hypersonic vehicles through experimental work on hybrid rockets and numerical modeling of supersonic combustion in scramjet engines. My interests include fuel grain formulation, additive manufacturing, satellite systems, space missions, applied thermodynamics, energy engineering, fluid mechanics, and high-energy materials.Earlier, I studied the thermomechanical and ballistic properties of hybrid rocket propulsion in my Master’s thesis. Before that, I contributed to a joint project between ULB–Belgium and the Royal Military Academy of Belgium on additive manufacturing (3D printing) of hybrid rocket fuel grains.🧑 EducationI hold a PhD in Energy Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, and two master’s degrees—one in Aerospace Engineering and another in Satellite Engineering and Space Law. Earlier, I earned a bachelor’s and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Over 10 years of interdisciplinary education across universities and countries—along with internships, workshops, and extracurriculars—helped me build leadership, teamwork, organizational, and communication skills.🧑 Learning PerspectiveAs a motivated engineer with strong knowledge in aerospace and mechanical fields, I strive to create sustainable tech solutions. I welcome new challenges where I can contribute to organizational growth while expanding my own skills. Reach me at p••••••••@gmail.com to collaborate or discuss mutual interests.
