Conducted a project investigating the multiscale mechanisms of Right Ventricular Failure (RVF) using a rodent model-Measured impaired mitochondrial function with an Oroboros O2k FluoRespirometer, processed freshly harvested heart tissue, and isolated mitochondria-Analyzed mitochondrial function through the use of respirometer to assess the correlation between organelle and tissue function, heart geometry, and the emergence of RVF phenotypes-Maintain and cultivate HPAEC to ensure confluence on custom-coated slides following standard cell culture protocols-Utilize a parallel plate computerized flow system, ibidi, to test the effects of varying shear stress by simulating vascular environments-Monitor cellular responses and documentation of the results using advanced imaging techniques.
