Learning done well shapes how people lead, how decisions are made under pressure, and how the humans impacted by those decisions are seen. My work isn’t just about programs or platforms—it’s about building systems that support better judgment before harm happens.

ABOUT SASHA SENCER
I’ve been a mission-driven leader since 16, when I fought to save our county\'s extracurricular programs. Then at 17, I launched a campaign to honor veterans. By 18, I was a delegate to my party’s state nominating convention and working in Tallahassee during the presidential election recount—early lessons in how our voices can shape history. As an undergraduate, I researched the wrongful convictions of Freddie Pitts and Wilbert Lee, which fueled my passion for a more just world.Law school deepened my purpose. I worked with the Miccosukee Indian Tribe on pollution solutions, researched how federal communications law impacts third-party candidates, and through the Center for Ethics and Public Service co-led CLE trainings for 200+ trial court staff attorneys while helping draft their first ethics code. By graduation, I had offers from the FBI and a forensic accounting firm. I chose teaching because teaching felt like proactive justice.For nearly 20 years, I poured myself into independent schools. I taught history, economics, and global studies. I built speech and debate and DECA programs from scratch into state and national powerhouses. I see education as civic preparation, and partnered with colleagues to launch the Dogwood Speech and Debate League—now a decade strong. Leadership called me into administration. As Special Projects Coordinator at the Collegiate School for Boys in New York, I became the “catch-all” for the Head of Upper School, handling complex and sensitive work. That mentorship led to my first Head of Upper School role in Louisville during the pandemic. It wasn’t the right fit, but it reinforced my belief that mission and humanity matter more than any title. That conviction brought me to ANCOR, first as Events Coordinator, then as Director of Education, and eventually as our leader for intersectional collaboration. While my title is Director, these accomplishments reflect the power of collaboration - scaling the Leadership Academy into a national pipeline guiding 100+ leaders; stewarding our conference into a premier gathering; supporting the Foundation’s board; and advancing equity-focused hiring. What ties it all together—whether in classrooms, boardrooms, or associations—is that I lead with vision, strategy, and entrepreneurial energy, never losing sight of the people. I build cultures where voices are heard, stories drive connection, and authenticity anchors trust. For me, leadership isn’t about holding a title—it’s about bringing people together to leave places stronger than we found them.
