ABOUT SASHA HANRATTY
I’m an Early Careers professional with more than a decade of experience designing and leading programmes that help people take their first steps into STEM and Media careers. At ITV, I lead the early careers strategy across apprenticeships, graduates, work experience, and outreach. My role includes managing the apprenticeship levy and early careers budget, workforce planning with senior leaders, and ensuring our recruitment and development programmes support both business priorities and diversity goals. I’ve created national outreach frameworks, safe and inclusive work experience policies, and training for managers on developing and supporting young talent.Im the Vice Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Ambassador Network championing early careers access, quality apprenticeships, and regional skills growth. I’m a founding member of the Yorkshire Education Consortium working with SEND schools across Yorkshire creating a blueprint to create accessible routes into work. Until recently, I served as Co-Chair of the North West Tech Talent Consortium, a collaboration between major employers and education partners focused on strengthening and diversifying the region’s tech talent pipeline. What drives me is creating real opportunities, especially for those who may not see a clear path into industry. I’m passionate about improving access for young people with special educational needs, ensuring workplaces and programmes are designed with flexibility, accessibility, understanding, and the right support in place. For me, early careers work is about more than building pipelines; it’s about building confidence, removing barriers, and helping every person find where they can thrive.
