In my role as a Senior Platform Engineer at Adjust, I focus on designing, enhancing, and securing core infrastructure components, with a strong emphasis on performance, automation, and reliability.Key responsibilities & achievements- Led benchmarking and performance tuning work during a large-scale OS migration for core production workloads, achieving up to 27% performance improvement in various scenarios through kernel/scheduler optimizations- Extended HAProxy (Lua/C++) to improve backend health checks and enhanced HAProxy monitoring via the stats socket to enable more granular tracking and faster troubleshooting (pending rollout in network operations)- Collaborated on Ansible-based automation for a large server fleet, including migrating and optimizing Nginx, HAProxy, and PostgreSQL modules, improving idempotency, and reducing manual operations across multiple engineering teams- Designed and implemented an internal package build and repository approach to provide optimized Debian packages for performance-critical components and to avoid compiling on production systems- Designed and rolled out a centralized TLS certificate management solution to automate issuance and renewal for internal and corporate domains, reducing the risk of certificate-related incidents- Collaborate closely with backend, data, and platform teams to align on common deployment standards, OS policies, and automation best practices across the organization.
