ABOUT SARO VARJABEDIAN

Saro Varjabedian, a queen’s native of Armenian descent is an award winning International Cinematographer and Director. As a Cinematographer, Saro has photographed 9 feature films, one feature documentary, several web-series and countless shorts. He has filmed in Armenia, France, Lebanon, Mexico, Cuba and India. His work on the short film “Jesus Loves Yusef” has won Saro the Best Student Cinematography Award at the 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival.\"The Traveller\" a French/Lebanese Co-Production Feature has been nominated for Best Cinematography at the 2018 Lebanese Movie awards. He has recently finished principle photography on the feature film entitled \"The Scrapper.\" As a director, Saro hilm as directed one feature film, five shorts and a TV Pilot. Most notable, is his short film entitled, “After Water There is Sand,” Which has screened at several International film festivals, including the 2013 International Golden Apricot Film Festival and 2012 International Pomegranate Film Festival. He most recently directed the feature film entitled, “Respite” which is available on most VOD platforms and has won Best Director and Best Picture at the 2020 Golden Door International Film Festival. Saro is currently working on the development of the TV docuseries called \"Driving the Green Book.\"
