In 2025, I had the opportunity to build and lead an SRE team to support Day-2 operations for Mastercard Kubernetes Services, a large-scale PaaS platform.I helped define clear roles and responsibilities, established and prioritized the SRE backlog, and drove a strong focus on reliability and operational excellence. Together, we achieved near-zero alert noise across STG and PRD multi-tenant OpenShift clusters by tuning alerts to be truly actionable.We also addressed key platform gaps, including reliability issues, insufficient logging, and single points of failure in a critical service used by customers to deploy applications onto the platform.In addition, I helped set up a 24x7 on-call support model. This included defining the incident management process, escalation matrix, setting up the required access controls, and ensuring the team received the necessary training to operate effectively and confidently.We closed the year by shaping a forward-looking SRE roadmap for 2026, with a strong emphasis on resilience, scalability, and continued reduction of operational risk.
