Since February 2019 I\'ve been leading a small team of Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineers and designers in our Energy, Chemicals & Bioprocessing group in Denver, CO. Project work has varied from Front-end Loading Studies for prototype projects in Bioprocessing to Arc Flash Mitigation at generating stations for a power company. Interesting items I have designed or created:* Arc Flash Hazard analysis & mitigation on 6.9kV & 480V distribution boards at a 2470MW coal power plant including programming new overcurrent relays in Basler BESTCOMS+ software with the proper settings, as determined in ETAP, including Maintenance Mode functionality.* Retrofit wiring diagrams for Maintenance Mode switches, indication lights and strobe lights on Medium and Low Voltage distribution switchboards and switchgear.* Local and remote operation wiring diagrams for 6.9kV generator\'s motor operated disconnect.* Detailed +/- 15% cost estimate for pollution mitigation project at an industrial plant using P & IDs & client standards as input.
