About Sam Istephan
Creator of LinkedIn Group: Machine Learning on Azure I am a Data & Artificial Intelligence Technology Architect at Microsoft, since May 2011. In this role, I lead full day discussions with Microsoft\'s customers who are looking to modernize their data estate in the cloud and ready it to infuse AI. I lead these meetings with executives, industry experts and technology specialists. Since the beginning of 2019, I have been focused specifically on Machine Learning in Azure with an expanded reach across all US Microsoft Technology Centers. I am serving on the Parish Council as the Parish Secretary and the Technology & Public Relations Committee Lead for 2019 and 2020. I had these responsibilities in the past (years 2013 & 2014). I am serving on Madonna University\'s Computer Science Advisory Board as of 2018. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science where my research in the field of Medical Informatics leveraged large scale Hadoop clusters to analyze and make predictions on surgery outcomes for patients with Epilepsy using large volumes of medical images. In the past, I was a SQL Server Database Engineer, a C# Software Engineer and a Java Software Engineer.
