Founded Sarah West Recruitment and built the business over more than 20 years into a well-known commercial recruitment partner for growing SMEs across the UK, developing a strong brand, reputation and long-standing client relationships.The company later merged with Tribus People and was rebranded as Tribus People Recruitment as part of the wider group, where it continues to operate today.Stepped away from day-to-day operational leadership in December 2025 and now remain involved as a Director and shareholder.During my time leading the business, I built and led the team, developed the client base and oversaw executive search and commercial recruitment delivery, combining recruitment expertise with strong commercial understanding of how growing businesses build effective teams.The business specialises in sales, marketing, finance and commercial leadership recruitment for fast-growth organisations across sectors including SaaS.

ABOUT SARAH KNIGHT
After more than 20 years building and leading businesses, I now work with founder-led and growing organisations as an advisor and trainer. I founded Sarah West Recruitment and built it into a well-known commercial recruitment partner for SMEs across the UK before merging the business into the Tribus People group. In December 2025, I stepped away from day-to-day operational leadership and now remain involved as a Director and shareholder. Much of my career has been spent working alongside founders and leadership teams as their organisations grow — helping them build strong teams, shape roles, and navigate the practical challenges that come with scaling a business. Today, my work focuses on supporting businesses behind the scenes as they evolve. This includes areas such as recruitment approach, onboarding, management capability, business structure, systems and ways of working. Current work includes helping transform a veterinary consultancy business, introducing clearer structure, stronger processes and a team capable of supporting the next stage of growth. Alongside this, I mentor early-stage founders through Exeter Innovation / SETsquared. I also completed an MBA and Senior Leader Apprenticeship at the University of Exeter, strengthening my interest in how founder-led organisations grow, adapt and perform. Outside work, you’ll usually find me cycling, renovating my old cottage or planning my next overseas adventure!
