With over 26 years of experience in health care delivery, management, policy, and philanthropy, Sarita is the President and CEO of The SCAN Foundation, an independent public charity devoted to transforming care for older adults in ways that preserve dignity and encourage independence. She is also a board-certified internal medicine physician, an adjunct professor, and a Forbes 50 over 50 honoree.Sarita\'s core competencies include integrating and coordinating care for Medicaid, Medicare, and vulnerable populations, as well as addressing the social determinants of health and chronic disease management. She is passionate about creating a coordinated and easily navigated system of high-quality services for older adults that meets their needs and preferences. In her previous roles, she led the development and implementation of Thrive Local, a groundbreaking initiative that connected health care and social services providers across the United States. She also has extensive experience in leading quality improvement, utilization management, pharmacy, disease management, health services research, and managed care health plan operations. She holds an MD from Boston University, an MPH from Harvard University, and an MBA from UCLA.
