About Sarine Yeghiayan

I am a fourth year Physics major with an emphasis in Astrophysics, with the goal of earning my Bachelor of Science degree in the spring of 2026. As a UC LEADS scholar, I am passionate about research and eager to gain hands-on experience in Physics through lab work. I currently serve as a Learning Assistant for introductory physics, where I help students build a strong foundation in fundamental concepts.I aim to obtain research experience and would like to enhance my knowledge of physics through lab research. From there, I am looking to one day obtain a graduate degree in Physics and then work at NASA as an aerospace engineer. Beyond academics, my involvement in Phi Mu and Alpha Kappa Psi, has helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and networking skills. As the 2024 chapter New Member Educator, and 2025 chapter President of Phi Mu-Eta Sigma chapter, I have honed my ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively. As the 20••••26 Vice President of Professional Development of Alpha Kappa Psi-Psi Upsilon chapter, I hope to gain new networking and professional skills.
