Responsible for all purchasing activities for marine vessels and associate division within the Group and its associate operations. Ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out in accordance to the organization’s purchasing guidelines and procedures. To establish framework agreements with suppliers and ensure relevant goods and services are purchased under such agreements whenever possible. Source, identify and purchase technical and operational supplies required for marine activities at the right quality and competitive price. Negotiate with suppliers to deliver best results for the company. To conduct periodic vendors appraisals and price comparisons. Responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the CFM purchasing system. To assist other business units within the Group in the region in their purchasing efforts and adherence to purchasing procedures. Ensure that proper cost/benefits evaluations are made prior to bringing forward anyrecommendations. Oversee and ensure that all invoices are correctly matched to PO and DO. Oversee and ensure that all invoices are approved by the relevant person and passed to accounts in a timely manner. Provide suggestions/feedbacks for the improvement of the execution of tasks and working instructions. Undertake any ad-hoc duties/responsibilities as and when required. Sourced spares & stores from India, Japan, China, Europe, Singapore, UAE, etc.
