I am a Master’s candidate in Public Health at the Rutgers School of Public Health, specializing in Health Systems and Policy. I am dedicated to improving healthcare access and addressing health disparities through data-driven policy solutions.Currently, as an intern at New Jersey Appleseed, I assess hospital charity care and financial assistance policies, developing policy recommendations to enhance transparency and access to care. Previously, I interned at Princeton Public Affairs Group, tracking legislative efforts on youth suicide prevention and supporting the NJ State Legislature with research and policy updates. My work on suicide prevention is meaningful to me, particularly my focus on the high suicide rates in Guyana, where mental health challenges and stigma are prevalent. At Walgreens, I serve as Pharmacy Operations Manager, leading initiatives to optimize workflows and ensure the accurate delivery of healthcare services, including COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.With experience in data analysis (Excel, SPSS), policy development, and research, I am passionate about using evidence to drive public health policy and improve health outcomes.
