Developing an automated assessment tool (AAT) for evaluating student submissions in an advanced operating systems course, under the supervision of Dr. Ruben Acuña. The tool assesses a multithreaded C image processing assignment using a combination of static and dynamic analysis - grading authentic, non-functional requirements without simplifying the original assignment design.Key contributions: 1. Designed and implemented a compiler-level static analysis pipeline using AST parsing and control/data flow graph generation to verify structural correctness of student C code 2. Developed data cleaning and normalization pipelines to process and standardize diverse student submissions at scale for consistent evaluation 3. Created evaluation and validation frameworks using Python (scikit-learn) to generate confusion matrices and classification metrics, comparing autograder output against expert human grades 4. Built instrumentation-based dynamic analysis to assess thread concurrency behavior (POSIX threads) against expected parallel execution patterns 5.
