ABOUT SARAT VELIJALA

Sarat has over seven years of experience in cyber security, executing a variety of IT security projects, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA) penetration testing and risk assessments, network penetration testing, web application security reviews, payment card industry (PCI) audits, Red/Purple Team exercises and Cloud Security Assessments (AWS). As a part of the strategy and governance and ICS teams, Sarat has helped numerous clients across a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, critical infrastructure (water, oil & gas, fertilizer, thermonuclear, electric power plants), consumer products and financial institutions across the country to improve their security posture through highly detailed strategic reports and has fostered organizational growth to create robust security programs.• Conducting internal and external network penetration tests performing red team and purple team exercises to identify and exploit vulnerabilities, with the ultimate goal of obtaining access to critical data and systems.• Conducting Web Application Security Reviews, Wireless Network Assessments, Social Engineering Testing, Industrial Controls System (ICS) Reviews, Cloud Security Assessments.• Conducting security assessments and audits for various OT/ICS (Industrial control systems) and critical infrastructure. Perform IT/OT network architecture and configuration assessments to assess potential gaps in segmented environments.• Worked with various industry frameworks and guidelines such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-53/80/171/30, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC CIP), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry (PCI), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and MITRE ATT & CK framework.
