About Saraswati Shee

Hi, my name is Saraswati (Sara) Shee, and I am currently pursuing a double major in Data Science and Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. My study abroad experience in Thessaloniki, Greece, at the American College of Thessaloniki, has provided me with a global perspective and enhanced my adaptability, qualities I am eager to apply in my professional career. As an active member of the Women in Business group, I am dedicated to promoting and supporting women\'s leadership in the business world. I am also a proud member of Chi Omega, where I contribute to philanthropic efforts like supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, deepening my commitment to service and community impact. I recently completed my first co-op at Sappi North America, where I worked on the Finance and Accounting team. In addition to preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts using SAP and Excel, I applied my data science background by building Python scripts to automate the posting of journal entries, and therefore streamlining workflows and improving efficiency during the close process. This experience strengthened both my technical and business skills and reinforced my passion for using data science to solve real-world problems.
