About Sara Newman
I am honored to be part of the Tuskegee University (TU) team as their Learning Management System (LMS) Technical Administrator, primarily focused on Canvas and a range of integrated technologies. Since 2023, I have worked as part of the TU Office of Information Technology (OIT), collaborating with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Administrator, the Office of Distance Education and Online Learning (ODEOL), and the Provost\'s Office to provide technical support, enhancing online learning and advancing the university’s \"students first\" mission for TU’s students, faculty, and leadership.From 2005 to 2020, I lead, as their Director and LMS Administrator, South Seattle College\'s eLearning and Teaching and Learning Center (TLC), growing both programs to meet our Seattle College District\'s evolving goals and needs. With 25+ years of teaching web development and design primarily for Seattle Colleges and the University of Washington, I’m committed to preparing and supporting students and faculty for the digital world.My mission is to empower learners and educators with the skills and tools they need to succeed in the digital age. I am passionate about instructional design, accessibility, and the user experience, and I strive to collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality and engaging eLearning solutions.
