ABOUT SARAI ALLEYNE

I am a senior at Fordham University studying psychology and peace and justice studies. My personal interests in mental health and advocacy have shaped my academic and professional background. I am a self-described student of life, and I’m deeply invested in the well-being of those around me. I’m curious about how people and communities interact with themselves and others. As a student on the path towards becoming a psychologist, this consideration for individuals and communities is integral in asking the right questions in order to find diverse solutions. During the fall of 2024, I interned with TurnUp Activism, a nonprofit organization and mobile app with a mission of increasing youth voter registration and building an active, educated, and organized network of activists. My activism work is directly related to my desire to pursue a career in psychology and contribute to my communities. As a Post-Secondary Pathways ambassador at Fordham, I have the privilege of interacting with K-12 students through providing engaged tours of Fordham. This experience has helped foster my skills in adaptability, leadership, and communication. I am open to gaining clinical exposure, research experience, and any psychology-related work.
